Today I am Thankful

Today I am thankful for...
1. arriving early to church so we had time to drive around downtown Sarasota.
2. seeing my mom at church
3. the wonderful music at church
4. the great sandwiches from Crescent Market we took to the beach
5. water so blue it almost feels like your skin will be stained that color when you get out
6. water so clear even when neck deep I could see my toes
7. seeing my sister at the beach, reminding me how lucky I am to live so close to family
8. finding tons of cool shells
9. getting caught in the rain while out in the water and having a raft to duck under
10.spending 3 hours playing in the surf with my best friend (Vic)

Holly you are very fortunate to have you family, friends and Vic right here with you and to live in such a wonderful place. I hope to have some of that to be thankful for soon. Lisa will be living down here in a matter of weeks or a month, my sister and Ed will be moving down here in April of 2012 which means the rest of the family will visit often and I have some good friends here now that hopefully will become very good friends in time. The "best friend/partner" will come when the time is right and hopefully she IS the RIGHT partner this time.

Marcia,
I am looking forward to getting to know you better! You are so right about us being fortunate to live in such a beautiful place...I appreciate it every day!
It will be great when Lisa moves down, and that is great news about your sister moving here too! I love having family so close.
We must get together soon! *hugs*

I am pretty flexible most of the time. Let me know a time that works for you all to get together.

Thank you, Holly. It was a lovely post and the odd thing is that just a few minutes ago, before I opened the computer, I thought of writing a post on "Grateful." I went to the 3rd funeral (visitation really, funeral's tomorrow) within a very short space and it really made me think about how grateful I am for certain things. Actually simple things. Thanks, too, for stopping by my blog.
