September
Ok This September! I'm just as obsessed with the fall TV schedule as ever. I still watch too much TV. Some of the shows I'm watching or looking forward to watching: Gray Anatomy, Parenthood, Hostages, Sister Wives, Revenge, Homeland, The Little Couple, Person Of Interest, nashville,Scandal,Shark Tank,Amazing Race,Ray Donavan,Newsroom,Life Below Zero going to miss Breaking Bad..the final episode is on tonight. My DVR is on overdrive with all of this activity. Big Brother 15 came to an end with Andy winning. It was a very mean spirited year on BB and can only hope next summer is bettter. With that being said I didn't miss an episode and went as far as to watch the after dark episodes and many youtube/twitter and facebook posts..I need an intervention!
My sister turned 50 this year!
We enjoyed some peace with nature. Getting ready for a crazy busy October.

Reality Recap
It's been a while since I've done a reality TV recap and it's not because I have not been watching, I have!! I lost my mojo to blog for a little second there but hopefully I'm back! I'm on the last stages of being sick and hopefully by next week when I'm done with the Z pac, the prednisone and the inhalers I will be back to my perky, cheerful, regular sounding voice self! I hope sooner than that because we have tickets to go see The Color Purple tomorrow night!
OK what has been happening in TV world...before I start with the reality shows..have you been watching All My Children? OMG we are about to see crazy Annie return. I know some of you don't like that story line but I LOVE crazy Annie! It's a little disappointing thou because I would have liked to have seen her go crazy on the old Marissa..I'm not so sure about this new one. The new Scott is hard for me to get into to. I keep seeing him as Bill Lewis from Guiding Light...the other Scott seemed more like what I picture Scott to be in my head. I think I heard from my friend Kelly that the new Scott is actually the original Scott or something but that was before I started watching it. Have I lost you yet?
OK I could go on about how Greenly bugs me and I am on Madison's side but I'll save that for another blog.
New Years Eve...I stayed home and watched Bravo TV with the Wig Drop (Andy Cohen , Kim Zolciak,Jeff from Flipping Out, Jiggy and grandma wrinkles, etc) I was kind of disappointed in the whole thing. Jeff was sick and on cold medicine and appeared to have taken his mean pills. I watch his show but shake my head at what an ass he is to people and wonder how he seriously has any friends.
There was obvious tension with kim and nene from the Real Housewives of Atlanta. Dang NeNe is a big and tall woman! She towered over everyone.
The big after midnight event was grandma wrinkles (a cat with no fur) and jiggy (a dog that dresses up) got married. Corny ...And I was ready to turn it off long before midnight but kept hoping it would get better.
Millionaire Matchmaker. I think the last show I watched had a hello kitty loving big girl millionaire looking for ..something..not sure it was love. She picked the biggest loser for a date and gave him a handjob over watching him eat with his mouth full at dinner. Gross! Patty should set her up with that other gross millionaire guy that brought the monkey on with him...I think he's on Celebrity Rehab now...what a match!
What have you been watching? Have you tuned into OWN yet? (the Oprah Winfrey Network) I have, and i love some of the shows. I still can't stand Dr. Phil so I skip anything he's on except the new show with the 10 people trying to get their own show. I love that so far. I am rooting for the man in the wheelchair (sorry I don't know all of their names yet, I've only seen one episode) but he's awesome funny and has my vote.
Please leave comments about what shows I may be missing out there...I love to hear from ya'll.
Anyone else hoping Sister Wives comes back on? Ruby will be back in March, and I really can't wait for the Real Housewives of Atlanta's ending..I saw Andy tweet yesterday that they just finished filming it.
Have a great Thursday!

December 11-18
This week was a pretty full week for me. Since it is the week before Christmas it is surprising how little holiday activities played a role in my time.
This week I ...
This week I ...
- Went to the doctor and got back on my meds for my asthma.
- Had my hair done..love it! Thanks Heidi..Venice Day Spa is the BEST!
- Ate at Peach's and had the yummiest four cheese quiche..twice!
- Had Friday Night Date night with Vic and went to Ivy's Steakhouse and then out looking at Christmas lights around town.
- Got my first order for my new business venture..www.suncoastgrocerygirls.webs.com!
- Talked to my BFF Steph and realized how much I miss her!
- Felt like I lost my bubbawoo.
- Filled up my jeep, gas is now $2.94 a gallon...yikes!
- Celebrated as DADT (Don't Ask Don't Tell) was repealed today.
- Caught up on All My Children from last week and this week.
- Found some new great blogs to follow after this weekends Lady Blogger Society Tea Party.
- Actually made a youtube video after slacking for so many months.

TV
TV recap time..
This week I am adding my favorite soap to the mix. (Yes I know it’s not a reality show…just spicing up the mix)
All My Children:
It has been so good lately. I don’t know who your favorites are, mine tend to change with the story line. I can’t say that I am upset that Erica is gone for a while. She has her travel blog thingy but I have not even bothered to go look at it, even thou I love the idea of soap characters having blogs!
I am loving the Annie/Jr Scott/Marissa mess. It’s sometimes hard to watch because I think JR and Marissa are not very good actors but Annie and Scott make up for it. I think with Annie finding out that Scott slept with Marissa her and JR will hook up but it won’t last.
I’m secretly hoping that Madison goes a little crazy again and goes after Greenly but I don’t know if they will do that since Annie did the same thing not too very long ago.
I can’t stand David, but in a love him/hate him way. I can’t imagine the show without him so it’s not a “wish he would get killed off” way but a “can’t stand that he is blackmailing my favorite girl” kinda way. I like it when I can’t wait to see the next show and it’s been that way for a week or so for me now.
Final Episode of Housewives of New Jersey:
That little girl Ashley needs to grow up! I do not like anything Danielle does or says either but there such a thing as right and wrong and pulling someones hair out of their head is wrong. I wonder what Ashley would do if the tables were turned.
I was hoping that Danielle would have agreed to Carolines truce meeting but of course calling her garbage again didn’t help that situation. I’ve heard that she (Danielle) isn’t going to be on the show anymore…I am happy about this but hope that it isn’t because they are giving her her own show.
I’m glad they are back from Italy. Teresa and her rude little monster children were driving me crazy.
Big Brother:
It has not been as exciting without Rachel there but Brittany is more fun to watch. Last we saw she put up Enzo and Branden. It must be strange for her being the only girl in the house. Well that is if you don’t count Ragan. Ha! I saw Kristen put up the hippie tard and wig on ebay this week. Last I looked it was up to $127 and had something like 27 bids! Wow.
Real Housewives of DC:
I don’t know about ya’ll but it is not really keeing my interest. I am not crazy about the housewives. Maybe it’s just because we have not gotten to know them yet. It took me a long time to warm up to the NY ones too. I can’t wait for the Atlanta women to start again..Oct 4th I think is the first episode.
That about does it for now. What are YOU watching?

Day 25 of the 30 Day Blog Journal
Day 25: your day, in great detail
Seriously? I am sure there are easier ways to put you all to sleep. Really? You want to know? Oh ok...here is a condensed "great detail" about my day.
Seriously? I am sure there are easier ways to put you all to sleep. Really? You want to know? Oh ok...here is a condensed "great detail" about my day.
- Took a bath and stayed in a towel for a few hours while I did laundry
- did not answer the door when JW couple came trying to push their "God" down my throat, I'm pretty sure answering the door in a towel would have scared them off anyway.
- Tried to make blueberry muffins only to find out after adding the milk to the mix that I did not have any eggs.
- Searched google for egg replacements and found flax seeds and water
- Went and added flax seed oil, forgot all about the water
- threw away muffins after seeing what they looked like and tasted like out of the oven
- Blogged, facebooked, twittered, talked to my sister on the phone
- cleared up issues with my mom about a crab boil this weekend-I had the wrong date
- watched All My Children, was shocked when David blackmailed Greenly
- welcomed Vic home, watched Vic go to bed way too early
- found a new show "Growing up Twisted" Loved it! Dees wife is hot!
- went to bed, arent you glad you know all of this?

How Times Have Changed
I posted a note on my facebook about how much times have changed since Soaps first aired on the radio back in the 30's & 40's. When Guiding Light went off the air I was crushed because I had followed that show since high school. I was happy when I saw that it was continuing on via Twitter. Then just this week I was watching All My Children and Erica Kain is getting ready to go on her honeymoon (don't ask me how many times she has been married, I just know it's in the double digits!) She mentions to her daughter Brianna that she can follow her on her blog while she is away.
So anyway...after posting this note about how far we've come I started getting comments about the generation today not knowing what it was like not to be so connected to everything. This is so true.
A few years ago I went on a cruise and was forced to say goodbye to my computer and cell phone for a week. It was the most relaxing vacation I had been on in YEARS just because I had no contact with the outside world (no bill collectors, no problems from work, no heartbreaking news headlines, no spam).
I find it very hard to go anywhere without my cell phone. I have no idea how we ever did it without them! On the rare times I've left the house with my cell phone sitting on my nightstand I about have a panic attack that today will be the day I have a flat tire or run out of gas.
And then there is facebook, twitter, myspace Etc. I think it is fantastic to be back in touch with so many friends from high school and my family and everyone else I am friends with on facebook. Would graduation not been as sad if I had known I'll still be in touch via facebook?
So some might say the kids today are really missing out on what we had but I'm happy that kids will be in touch more with their families and friends online. I would have loved to have followed my grandparents on facebook! I am thrilled when my dad posts new pictures of what he is doing since he moved to TN last year. It makes me feel closer and a part of his life.

When Soaps End
For years I recorded two soaps everyday. Guiding Light and As The World Turns. When Guiding Light ended I stopped watching As The World Turns also. It was so hard watching a show come to an end that I had invested YEARS of watching and getting to know and love the characters. Knowing that the same fate was about to come to ATWT was enough for me to cut the cord early.
Last night I watched the Daytime Emmy Awards. I wasn't totally interested in watching because there are not many shows that I care about on during the daytime anymore. I do watch All My Children now..I started watching it because several of the people from Guiding Light were on there (Tammy,Lu jack,Gus,Harley..now..Madison,David,Jake and I can't remember Harley's name, she's gone again already) So anyway, I was half watching and half reading blogs. Then came the tribute to Dick Clark. I actually had to google to see how old he was for Vic...81! Then came the musicians ...wow not only is Chubby Checker still alive but oh boy can he still twist!! When Dick Clark lost it and started crying I did too. Who doesnt remember American Bandstand?!
The rest of the show was kind of a blur. Jack and Carly both won awards for ATWT and then my mind started drifting off , thinking of all the cast and story lines that will now just be left to die. How can a show that has been around for over 50 years just end? I don't understand it. Any other soap fans feeling lost out there?
