It's been a while since I've done a reality recap but that doesn't mean that I have not been glued to the TV watching my favorite reality dramas.
Last night Real Housewives of New York started up again. I am so happy that Bethenny is back , and just as happy that Aviva is NOT. I must say , I had forgotten how fast Bethenny talks. Just listening to her sometimes makes me worn out. Ramona doesn't seem as crazy this season, but in all fairness it has only been ONE episode that I've seen. Sonja ....just sad. More to come on that one as more episodes air.
Another new reality show we've been watching is Married at First Sight on FYI. I hope some of these marriages work out and others (Ryan and Jacyln) I just have no words. I feel sorry for Ryan and wonder what his thoughts were during these first few episodes. This is the second season I believe.
And, then there is Newlyweds the first year on Bravo. Mostly Vic and I just look at each other and are so happy that we have each other. All of these relationships this season seem so messed up. I wanted to see a positive lesbian couple but it appears that won't be happening this season.
Oh , I almost forgot about one. I only watched the first episode because it was filmed in Paris and I wanted to see the landscaping. Find my first love , also on FYI. The girl looking for her first love from college in Paris...happy ending but it would freak me out to the extent she went to find this guy. If it were a man looking for a woman I'm pretty sure they could get him on some stalking laws being broken. I also wonder how it would have turned out had he been married with a family.

Today was a different type of day for us.
I've been watching a friend get closer and closer to the end with cancer and almost told Vic yesterday that it's about time I stop looking at her facebook statuses because it's just too painful. She has lung cancer. It was this time a few years ago that we found out my dad had lung cancer. Triggers.
Today when I logged on to facebook I saw that a friend did her daily post for her. Hospice has taken over and I don't know if we'll see another message from her directly. She isn't taking visitors..we were not the kind of friends that would visit anyway..we met a few times at different gigs and she was always so kind to us. We exchanged emails, I asked for advice ,she was so kind to share her opinions....I'm hoping it will be a peaceful transition and she won't be in pain. Dying is so hard.
Vic and I got up and out of the house before too much of the day got away from us. Vic got a haircut, I went shopping. I found some cute note cards at JoAnn Fabrics on sale. Maybe I'll write more letters in 2015. I'm missing my girls from Missouri.
We took a trip to the beach so I could play with the GoPro. It was a beautiful day. Very humid, 80 degrees. The water was calm and the sky was gorgeous. I took a few videos but still have not gotten the editing part down. I really need to stop reading other peoples diaries and get into the GoPro for dummies book my sister gave me for Christmas.
I finished Andy Cohens Diaries this morning and now I'm onto Andy Warhols. It is motivating me to keep up with my blog/journal.
We had lunch at Gold Rush, a delicious BBQ place on the Island. I think we eat there at least once a week. I've been trying new things lately. Today it was broiled scallops and they were to die for. I had no problems keeping them down at all. Vic stuck with her ribs and corn on the cob and mac and cheese.
Not to make this all about food but for dinner I heated up the spaghetti sauce my sister gave us for Christmas. Every year she gives everyone her yummy spaghetti sauce. I miss having garlic toast with it but bread does work with my lapband very well so we've given that up at our house.
The rest of the evening is more binge watching of The Affair on showtime. I'm actually getting into it now too. I like our binge watching weekends. I get lot of laundry done and games played on my phone while I'm engrossed in whatever show it happens to be. We've done this with Games of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Orange is the new black, House of Cards, United States of Tara, Girls, Nurse Jackie, and I'm sure a few others. It's the best way to watch TV if you ask me. No commercials, no waiting until the next week .
I was going to share a picture of our trip to the beach today but I think I accidentally deleted all the files :( , before that happened I did manage to put a video up on youtube..it's longer than I wanted but until I figure out the editing part it will have to do :)

TV viewing updates
Happy Friday!!!
After waiting all summer for the fall shows to return they are finally here! I calendared all of the dates and times so I wouldn't miss a show. I sat down all excited to watch Parenthood because I wasn't sure that show was coming back and then WAM they bring cancer into the story line. :( I really don't need sad story lines to follow...life has enough of that!
Then there is Grays Anatomy last night...another tear jerker! I guess I could go tune into Honey Boo Boo but it was hard enough to sit thru 10 minutes of that show. I felt like I should run to the phone and call child protective services.
My faithful stand by is my reality tv fix...real housewives of...fill in the blank. The drama on NJ and NY seasons have had Vic and I cracking up..and thinking our lives are pretty dull if this is any indication of how people live.
Even football has had some drama this season. Luckily that is about to end now that footlocker has taken its employees back off the field. Go Cowboys! :)
What are you watching or looking forward to watching? I can't wait for Revenge to come back on...I think that show is brilliant. We watched "Last Resort" last night and it was pretty action packed but I'm not sure how they will make a full season out of it, looked more like a movie.
If you have not checked out Person of Interest yet go do so. We caught re-runs a few months ago and have been hooked. Love that show!
Another show if you have Starz Channel is BOSS with Kelsie Grammar...not my favorite actor but he's excellent in the show. He plays the corrupt mayor of Chicago.
Tell me what you think of these shows!

More TV Talk
Today when I got up to let the dogs out I was surprised with cool air when I opened the door. Most mornings it has been a breeze of hot air hitting me in the face mixed in with such humidity that your skin almost looks wet. Summer is coming to an end.
Tonight is the final episode of Big Brother. I will watch but really don't care who wins at this point. As much as I hate to admit it, the show became rather boring after Rachel and Brendan left. I was hoping for Brittany to win but with the brigade in place that just wasn't happening.
Survivor starts tonight too but I have not been watching the last few years. I may try the first episode but I don't think it will be come a "must watch" I like Modern Family and the Middle too much and they are also on Wednesday nights.
While watching Oprah yesterday she said that she has 130 shows in her final season. We are two down :( , I wonder if i will cry during every dang one?! I made it all the way thru yesterdays show until the Judds starting singing and showing a video full of clips from popular Oprah moments. Where have the past 25 years gone..holy cow that went fast!
