Day 28 of the 30 Day blog journal. What's in your purse.
I have taken to just carrying a little wallet like thing...it has my credit cards, health insurance card and $24 ..you've caught me on a rich day! Oh yeah and my drivers license..the whole reason I have to carry it in the first place.

Instead of starting another blog entry I'm going to do it here...I just got home from my moms..We had a family crab boil today! It was awesome..great food, fun ping pong before dinner, an awesome sunset at the beach, a little swimming in the bay...just the most perfect day.

My worst habit is posting too many furchildren pictures and stories on facebook/blog/twitter...

And Day 26 of my 30 Day Blog Journal...which asks me to describe my week in great detail. Ugh...who really wants to hear about that? My week was pretty boring. I worked, went to the beach, screwed up blueberry muffins,broke my TV last nite after Rachael won HOH again,fell in love with yet ANOTHER reality show(growing up Twisted)...yep that is about it..my week in great detail!

Day 26 of my blog journal..for the reasons stated above.

Running out of eggs while baking.

Rachael winning HOH on Big Brother again this week.

My Blood pressure for jumping sky high this week after being so good for weeks.

Days with "feel like" temps over 100! My electric bill is killin me!

Ok since I hate to leave on a negitive vibe I'll share the sunset last night with you..it was amazing.

Writers Workshop: Playing with my (fur) kids Vlog

The choices were:
1.) It was a bad burn. Tell about the worst sunburn you ever received. How did that happen!?!
I don't really think you want to read about the time I burnt my breasts off laying in the sun while on meds that clearly said "stay out of the sun"

2.) Write a poem for your furry friend.
Too much brain power this early in the morning
3.) Describe a memorable camping trip.
Memorable is not always good...
4.) It happened on a motorcycle.
and I have the scar to prove it but WHO hasn't burnt their leg on a motorcycle?
5.) Post a vlog that shows you playing with your kids.
DING DING DING The Winner! I know you are thinking "but you don't have kids", but I DO have fur children...and they are MY kids :) This video was taken a few years ago before Vic and the Littles came along. (the littles are what we call the dachshunds...the labradors are called the Bigs)



For anyone worried about the phone number showing up on the dog tags...that is no longer my phone number, Those collars were purchased on ebay and a GREAT idea..all four dogs now have new collars with new numbers :)

Day 25 of the 30 Day Blog Journal

Day 25: your day, in great detail

Seriously? I am sure there are easier ways to put you all to sleep. Really? You want to know? Oh ok...here is a condensed "great detail" about my day.

• Took a bath and stayed in a towel for a few hours while I did laundry
• did not answer the door when JW couple came trying to push their "God" down my throat, I'm pretty sure answering the door in a towel would have scared them off anyway.
• Tried to make blueberry muffins only to find out after adding the milk to the mix that I did not have any eggs.
• Searched google for egg replacements and found flax seeds and water
• Went and added flax seed oil, forgot all about the water
• threw away muffins after seeing what they looked like and tasted like out of the oven
• Blogged,facebooked,twittered, talked to my sister on the phone
• cleared up issues with my mom about a crab boil this weekend-I had the wrong date
• watched All My Children, was shocked when David blackmailed Greenly
• welcomed Vic home, watched Vic go to bed way too early
• found a new show "Growing up Twisted" Loved it! Dees wife is hot!
• went to bed, arent you glad you know all of this?

Day 24: Where you live.

I live in southwest Florida. About an hour south of Tampa in a beautiful town called Venice. I work in Sarasota on Siesta Key and love the beautiful white sand beaches!  I have not always lived in such paradise. I was born in North Dakota, have lived in Ill.,Nebraska,MN,GA and grew up in a small town in Missouri (Moberly, have you heard of it?) Anyway...here are some pictures of the area I live in..

Day 22: A website

Since my company has a website and it is posted on the side of my blog , or by clicking here I won't use that one..haha, but if you are looking for a vacation rental in Sarasota /Siesta Key Fl please by all means click on it!

And I won't be using the link to my other business either because it's also on the side bar or here, but if you are looking for flameless candles by all means click on it!

Day 21 of the 30 Day Blog

Day 21 calls for a recipe

I am not a cook, seriously...quick story. My roommate pulled up one day with his daughter and found the smoke alarm thrown in our front yard. His 7 year old daughter said "Oh no, Holly must have been cooking again!"  and she was RIGHT! I burned some pizza rolls or something and the dang smoke alarm would not stop going off..until I tossed it out the door that is.

So anyway....I saw a blog earlier this month called after thoughts and she had the easiest looking candy cookie recipe called Crack! I'll let you go back to her blog to check out the story behind Crack

Ella's Cracker Candy (Her friends name is Ella)


40 saltine crackers

1 cup (2 sticks) butter

1 cup light brown sugar

8 ounces milk chocolate chips (about 1¹⁄3 cups) ((I actually used almost the entire bag!)



Preheat the oven to 425°F. Line a large jellyroll the saltine crackers.(Luckily she had pictures too and I quickly realized a "jellyroll" is a sqare cookie sheet)

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar together and bring to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and pour over the crackers, covering them evenly. Put the jellyroll pan into the oven and watch closely. Bake for 3 to 5 minutes, or until just bubbly. Remove from the oven and pour the chocolate chips over the crackers. When the chips melt a bit, spread them over the crackers with a knife. Transfer the pan to the freezer for 15 to 20 minutes, or until completely cold. They will form one big sheet. Break up into pieces. Store in an airtight container and I keep it in the frig, just because.

Do you like Candles?

I have not met many (if any) people that do not like candles! When I was asked to write a review for a new candle line called "Hot Chicks" I was THRILLED! And even more so when it arrived in the mail. Look at how adorable this is!~

The box has a To: and From: gift tag on the back , perfect gift idea ! (hint, hint). The scents are not only amazing but have really fun names , like Espresso Yourself (my favorite) ,Sea and Be Seen, Olive My Love,French Kiss, Cosmo Compatable and La Vie Gypsy which is a sandlewood and patchouli aroma that I've been burning all week!

Friday Flip Offs! Started by Kludgy Mom..you should check her out FUNNY STUFF :)

1.POST OFFICE EMPLOYEE CHICK that was rude to me , not one day but two days in a row! Would it kill you to say please, thank you, please hold, I'm sorry???! I totally get the term "going postal" now!

2. Sprint for mailing me a flyer for a phone I fell in love with. The flyer said $19.99 but my plan doesnt let me upgrade until Dec 2010 and even then it will be over $75 to upgrade to that phone!

3.Big Brother 12 for having houseguests that are so annoying I almost don't care if i miss an episode. Rachaels laugh is getting on my last gay  nerve!

4. The Weeds in my rose garden , no matter how many times I go pull them twice as many await me.

5.Danielle Staub on RHONJ , it's bad enough she is so unlikeable on Real Housewives but her behavior on Andys show after last Mondays episode makes me want to puke...go pretend to be a lesbian somewhere else
